Martin Wolhuter from Western Australia takes first position at the South Australian State 11/25/2009 2009/11/24 AM 12:15:09

Once again Hong Nor Team driver Martin Wolhuter from Western Australia takes first position at the South Australian State championships. It was a very hard final against the best drivers from around Australia.
Martin is racing with a standard X2 Pro car without any
modifications. He did some races with the pivot ball but as the track got rougher he went back to the standard "C" Hub. This once again shows that the  brilliant quality on HN cars gets you through every time. Many cars broke due to the very rough conditions but the X kept on going. Congratulations Martin. If you want to see tough then you have to take a look at this Youtube video. Its a standard RTR XT-1 Truggy and X2 Buggy and Truggy converted to electric. Not one breakage!!!!!

Hot Rod Hobbies: With well over 100 entries Tuesday night at Hot Rod Hobbies Chad Bradley took the convincing win and TQ in the expert buggy class with his Hong Nor/Jammin X2. Chad lead every lap in qualifying and in the main.

BRL Truck Finals
In Round 2 of qualifying at the JBRL Finals in the Pro Truck class, Chad Bradley took over the TQ from Ryan Caverleri's round 1 time by 6 seconds. In the third and final round of qualifying Chad and Ryan were very close together on the clock and on the same pace as Chad's round two time, in the end Ryan edged out Chad and beat his round two time by 1/2 second to take top spot in the main event. In the Main Event Ryan made a mistake in the very first corner, which caused the entire field to pile up, however Chad was able to get out of the pile in third place. Chad took over the lead on the 2nd lap and lead for more than half of the main. A mistake from Chad Bradley was just enough to get Ryan Cavaleri the win at the end. Chad said his Hong Nor/Jammin X2 CRT worked amazing the entire weekend.

10/5/09 - The 2010 Portuguese Cup was held at the 2010 Euros track, in Guarda 3-4 of October.  A total of 65 drivers attended and the weather was mostly clear, the biggest news was Miguel Matias turning up with a 8 2.0 car.  Qualifying went the way of Rodrigo Luis making full use of JConcept's Crowbars grip advantage.  The final saw Miguel Matias win on his debut with the 8 2.0, but not after a hard fought fight with 2nd placed Ricardo Monteiro, Joao Gomes  X-2 wrapped up 3rd.

Hot Rod Hobbies:  SoCal hot spot Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita CA had their weekly Tuesday night nationals with an impressive 102 entries.  On hand was Chad Bradley (Jammin X2), Jeremy Kortz (Hyper 9 2.0) and Ryan Lutz (Tamiya) all racing their 1/8 buggies.  Round 1 of qualifying, saw Chad Bradley take the TQ.  In round 2, Jeremy Kortz set the fastest time of the night beating Chad's round 1 time by a couple seconds and Ryan Lutz rounded out the top 3.  The 12 min main event saw a heated battle between Chad Bradley and Jeremy Kortz.  Ryan Lutz got a slow start in the beginning, keeping him away from the battle for the lead spot, however a local fast guy Travis Eurkinoff raced Lutz hard for the 3rd position the entire main.  Jeremy lead the main early with Chad close behind, until a mistake by Jeremy in the rhythm section allowed Chad to get by.  They both swap leads many more times, however it was Chad Bradley and his Jammin X-2 crossing the finish line first, securing his points lead for the Tuesday Night Nationals Series.

Wolhuter Wins WACC Rd3 2009/9/28 AM 12:52:02

Martin Wolhuter with his trophy, Hong Nor X2 car, powered by OS, AKA Rubber and Nitro X Fuels. Martin had a extremely good weekend at the last of the three WA Challenge Cup Rounds held this year, this one being at the Geralton Raceway. He constantly out performed other competitors with his very precise and consistent style. Martins combination of Hong Nor X2, AKA, OS Engine, Nitro X fuel and his un doubted driving skill proved just too good for other competitors on the day. Buggy-Pitstop will continue to follow Martins achievements with regular reports on his achievements over the coming months.

Fast & Furious Paul Walker vs. X2-CR !! 2009/5/4 AM 03:10:54
NO PICS
During the week an email dropped into our mailbag (actually a box) which was a bit more special than the usual mix of news, race reports, legal threats and chinese battery companies emails. A couple of weeks ago the new movie 'Fast & Furious' hit screens around the world and reacquainted us with the lead star Paul Walker (not the bald dude named after a fuel!) Anyway, getting back on topic... Recently Jammin driver Kaulin Hall invited Paul for a day of 1/8 offroad. Jammin's Jay Halsey hooked Paul up with an X2 buggy and accompanying swag to go with it.

Paul felt overalls were a definite necessity for RC drivers
Paul was amazed at the progress the buggys have made, he was pretty eager to check out the car he would be driving! After some break-in and setup Kaulin let Paul take over the controls. Just a few laps later and Paul was hooked, it was pretty amazing to watch, we were shocked he caught on so quickly and proceeded to burn up close to a gallon of fuel . Paul showed the car no mercy putting it through its paces. The cross over from all Paul’s track experience made the transition appear effortless. Paul kept saying, he couldn’t believe how strapped the car was and how everything was either carbon fiber or titanium. Paul is now setting his sights to check out some local tracks with Kaulin and possibly start his R/C racing career ?!

The following day it was Paul’s turn to show Kaulin his hobby. We all arrived at Willow Springs and to our amazement the crew from AE Performance had all of Paul’s latest rides including a 2009 GTR Skyline from the new movie. Kaulin was in car heaven, Paul took Kaulin for rides in all the amazing cars, and all you could see through the helmet was Kaulin’s grin from ear to ear!! Kaulin’s favourite was the tracked out GTS Porsche. During the day Kaulin got to hang out with Tanner Foust rally and drift car specialist and he asked Kaulin to come over to his private track in his back yard, an avid R/C enthusiast as well.
Two great crossovers done in two days is just what the doctor ordered , Paul is now a huge Jammin fan and Kaulin, who knows with his love of racing the Skyline is the limit………Stay Fast!

Paul and Kaulin would like to thank Jammin products of Ofna & AE performance.
And a special thanks to Jay Halsey !!

Paul drinks some water a bit too fast & furious! (got it in!!)

Factory drivers Frank Azzoppardi and Ramon Cassar won all the 4 heats with their X2-Pro truggy and made it to the final until some technical problems occured.Frank had a battery failture and Ramon was leading the race untill he had a small mistake on a double jump and popped out the steering linkage rod and then Nicholas Delia finished the race with a win. Congratulations!

ANDALUCIA REGIONAL RACE 2009/3/2 AM 04:14:07
The Andalucia Regional Race was held in Alhaurin de la Torre this past weekend. This race is a Warm Up of the Spanish championship race which will take place at the same track in 3 weeks. Saturday the qualification was reduced due to heavy rain and HongNor team driver Richi Gomez finished as 3rd qualifier. On Sunday Richi finished first at Semifinal. He was more than one lap ahead of the second driver. During the main Final, he was leading the race until half way through the final. Because he faced a plug failure, he lost many lap time. Richi could only recover to a fantastic 3rd place when he finished the race. His car and Engine were fantastic all weekend and everyone at the track recognized his superiority in jumps and bumpy areas.

1) Angel Roque
2) Miguel Martin

X2-CR pro buggy now shipping! 2008/12/16 AM 02:33:48

We have now completed the new X2 competition buggy and it is ready for shipping immediately. This much anticipated buggy is based on its predecessor the X1 and has some features added to it from feedback given to us by our Team Drivers, especially those in the USA.  Jay Halsey from Jammin, had spent a lot of time testing and come up with this world class buggy for the 2008 World Championships. The intention was to have a very fast low weight car without sacrificing the durability of the model.  The car is stronger than most models on the market as was seen at the pre-World and World Championships. The steering geometry has not been changed but the weight distribution has. The chassis is narrower with the engine moved forward and more to the center. We have gone away from the center universals and added light-weight aircraft grade alloy center drive shafts. The Center differential mount is the same design as the optional aluminium mount  but is now made from a lighter nylon to save weight. The Front and rear towers are a 4mm carbon fibre further reducing weight. Our new BT-118 tires and ultra light wheels are included and are proving to be a popular wheel and tire choice. Our optional long life silver clutch shoes are also included. Our 16mm big bore shock absorbers are included along with the suggested springs to suit.  A new body has been designed for this model with a separate nose cone.

X2-CR conversion kit now available! 2008/11/16 AM 11:10:56
It's got all the key parts a driver needs to upgrade the car to its highest level. On top of its many new features and benefits, most of the parts in this kit such as the new graphite shock towers, radio tray, and light-weight chassis contribute to reduction of the car weight. Jammin team driver Chad Bradley's X2-CR at the 2008 World Championship weighed only 3.320 grams (about 7.3 lbs)! The new weight distribution makes the car more responsive and provides easier handling; it also helps drivers to perform flawless jumps.

With a new chassis layout and forward center gravity, the buggy is faster through the corners and accelerates off the corners quicker. The new gear ratio gives the car smoother and faster acceleration. The new aluminum shafts deliver the same great power more efficiently and smoothly to the drive train. They also have less weight than steel ones. Lightened cap joints also help lower rotating mass while the spiral gears maintain powerful operation. The X2-CR conversion kit provides optimized performance for your car with extremely fast speed, and makes the overall stability of the car much better.

It's the only choice for Taylor James who TQ'd and won 2008 Pre-World Championships. Get one X2-CR conversion kit of your own right now!

HongNor win at FEMCA - 1st truggy class and 3rd buggy class 2008/10/20 AM 02:53:45
Last weekend FEMCA 2008 was held in Sydney. Hong Nor team Driver Martin Wolhuter won the Truggy class, and Zac Ryan finished 3rd in buggy class. Martin was driving the X2-CRT and Zac was driving his old X1X with all the upgraded parts from the Worlds. Zac worked his way up from 47th qualifier to 3rd on the podium. Many people have been expecting the soon-to-be-released X2 buggy, and Zac just proved his choice to go with the kit was THE right decision. Congratulations to both drivers!

"Martin and Zac had a really hard time of it at the FEMCA. Both of them had no practice as they had work commitments and could'nt get there until qualifying had already started.
Martin didnt get his car setup right until the minor finals had started and had to bump up all the way in both classes. Zac had to get used to the new chassis from the Worlds and had a lot of over steering problems he had to tame down. The good news is that Martin won the Truggy by about 5 laps and Zac was in a good position to win buggy as he was leading the race and flamed out due to plug failures which bought him back to 10th. He fought his way back to a podium 3rd position. People that saw the race said Zacs car was awesome!" says the HN Australian distributor.

"Well FEMCA was a very interesting event for me. I missed all my practice heats because I had uni. on the wednesday and went straight into the qualifiers. All qualifying I had engine troubles and I only got one qualifier in. I finally sorted out my engine but I had qualified 47th. I managed to bump from 16th-8th-4th and semi finals to make final. Then in the final I took the lead on the second lap and the car felt really good and I managed to crawl back up to 3rd. It was a real shame as I had a real shot at winning this event but the Axe Rossi gave me the power to get back in the race'" says Zac after the race.

Jammin and NASCAR. 2008/10/7 AM 11:33:57
Did you know Jammin Products has ties to NASCAR? Many of the founders of the HAAS CNC (now Stewart-Haas) NASCAR team are long time friends of the Jammin Products owner, Jay Halsey. In fact Jay's dad, Jim Halsey, is a member of the Haas Team. As a special treat to the Jammin Team that attended the IFMAR Worlds, Jay and Jim arranged for a dinner and tour at the new HAAS Racing facility in N. Carolina with members of both the NASCAR and R/C community speaking. It was especially interesting to the European and Asian HongNor/Jammin Team members to see behind the scenes of a NASCAR team.

Richi Gomez was the runner up of Spanish Championship 2008 2008/9/10 AM 03:52:41
Richi finished 3rd in the last round of Spanish Championship and was 2nd overall. During the 4th round of Spanish Championship, Richi was running one lap better than Rober Batlle (in Rober truck) but he had problems with the engine when he still had 3 laps to go and finished 3rd. He was the best all weekend and we are very positive that Richi will have even better results at the Worlds.

This last weekend saw also the Spanish Championship Junio where 2 HN drivers finished  2nd and 3rd. Congratulations.
2nd place: ALBERT NAVARRO
3rd place: JUAN ANTONIO ROMERO

Apart from Richi, all other HongNor drivers also got better results this year than in the past.
We'd like to thank all Hongnor Teams for the great support and hard work they've devoted. HongNor wish all of you very best luck in the future.

Sunday 08.06.2008
Truggy class was a hat trick for HN...
HN team drivers Ari Heinonen, Petri Myllari and Joonas Vuojolahti just got their X2 truggys on their hands few days before the race. All three
truggys were finished about 10 minutes before the race and race was starting with some set up help from Jammin Chad Bradley by email, thanks to
him. Final adjustments was to be made during the day.

Also Joseph Quagraine joined the race and he was driving HN X1X-CRT-Pro.
This race was the first ever for Petri Myllari to drive 1/8th truggy. He hasn´t even tried truggy before and he was excited.
Qualifying was an easy task for the team. All four guys drove themselves straight to A-final.
Petri Myllari took the TQ trophy.
From almost start to finish the A-main was full of thrills. All four HN drivers were lightening fast. Ari was leading, Petri second and Joseph third with Joonas right behind. During the race Joseph had some radio trouble and he was out for some time. Few minutes before the end of the race Ari broke his servo arm from the 1st place and Petri took the lead with Joonas on 2nd place. Joseph was able to get back on the track and pushed hard and finished 3rd.

Here´s the results again:

(2008.05.11)X1X-CR dominated the 2nd round of Truggy Cup in the Netherlands!  2008/5/14 AM 02:10:27

The 2nd round of Truggy Cup was held in Purmerend on Sunday May 11th. The qualification was difficult because the fuel consumption was a lot higher than before due to the fantastic weather (very hot). But after some changes to the engine, all problems were solved and the team could race the entire 8 minutes without a fuel pitstop.

After the qualifications Bas was 3rd and Erik was 5th. The PK - Hong Nor Racing Team was performing extrodinary well again. In the semi final Bas came first and Erik came second so Bas started third and Arik started fifth in the main final.

After the start Erik took the lead and held that position for about 5 laps but made an error and two drivers passed him so he was then in third position; this was also his final position. Bas had difficulties from the start; it seemed that the steering servo was braking down, with every lap the steering became more and more difficult. He stopped to check the car and found out that the nut of the servo-saver had come loose. This problem was solved but he had lost about seven laps so the maximum that was possible was the seventh place. After fixing the problem Bas certainly was the fastest guy on the track with four laps below 25 seconds which nobody could match. The team says "All together the cars performed great again and we are happy to race with such an excellent car!"

X1X-CR wins the first round of the Hungarian Championship ! 2008/5/14 AM 12:00:47

A two-day fierce battle took place last weekend. The track was difficult with several potholes by the end of the race. HongNor team driver Bence Toth finished first in Buggy class. "It took us three years to get ahead of the Kyosos, Xrays and Mugen", says by HN team Hungary.

In Truggy class Andras Eszenyi finished third. The team says "in the 8th minute of the last run he had to suspend the race due to a battery contact failure. After quick repairs he got back into the race at the eighth place. In the 16th minute he was already running at the second place. The first place was clearly visible for us. Unfortuntaely in the 17th minute the rear differential gear broke down. He ran 12 minutes with only front wheel drive with a fantastic performance. He finished in 3rd overall."

Congratulations to all HongNor drivers on a great race!

Many international drivers showed up for the biggest race of the year in the United Kingdom and the Team Jammin drivers Taylor James and Chad Bradley showed the crowd how good the Jammin Products are by placing themselves in the finals. Taylor James started the A Final in the number one position by driving his Jammin X1X-CR Buggy to the Semi Final Win. The Jammin/Hong Nor Distributor and championship R/C Racer Jamie Boothe was very helpful and accommodating to the team. Jamie heads up SMD Racing and writes a very good report of the race.
http://www.s-m-d.co.uk/smd-race-reports-c100006.html A small quote from his account "Wow Awesome semi final from Taylor James and Chad Bradley. Taylor smoking the field and lapping up to 5th place. Chad Bradley made the main after the most gentlemanly piece of driving I ever saw. He hit Borja Hernandez and waited to let him go, then just 10 meters later he passed Borja on the line to take the last main spot !
Jammin (Hong Nor) takes pole position !".

Taylor James driving X1X-CR won 3rd place at Neo08! 2008/3/28 AM 02:52:40

Neo08 race was a total success. Hong Nor/Jammin team drivers Chad and Taylor along with the boss Jay Halsey traveled to UK for this special event. The battle was tough but Chad and Taylor both managed to be in the A main final.

During the Semi B, Taylor James managed to hold onto the lead till the end, ahead of Mike Truhe and Joern Neuman. Taylor James had a faster time than Adam Drake in the first Semi so will be on pole for the Main final.

In the A main, Taylor was on pole for the A main, but with an hour long final grid positions don't give much of an advantage. Taylor got into the lead and looked good followed by Adam Drake and Darren Bloomfield. A mistake from Taylor James saw Adam and Darren come through as Taylor dropped to third.

"On top of their great performance these two drivers are exceptionally friendly and helpful individuals", said Jamie Booth. Hong Nor are proud of Chad, Taylor, and Jay's efforts, and would like to congratulate Taylor for winning the 3rd place at Neo08 race!

Round #1 of the UPGRADE / RCiD 2008 Points Series 2008/3/18 AM 03:38:03
NO PICS
Firstly we need to welcome back our Series sponsor Upgrade / RCiD, its great to see an overseas company getting behind events in Australia and we are very proud that its here in Darwin at OCR Raceway. On to the racing, again it seems the rain gods are working against us, with a huge storm hitting a couple of hours before race time, which looked very much like we would have to cancel the event, but drivers turning up in droves and the circuit cleaned up Round # 1 of 2008 Points Series got underway. With a number of new drivers, some old faces and the usual bunch of front runners all rearing to go, the very heavy rough surface looked like it was going to give up some good traction and didnt disappoint, with Tony Knauth driving the new RB WS7III L2G, got straight down to business running in the 33 second bracket, holding a good gap on the two Team Holeshot drivers Neil Ingram and Marc Christianson for the whole race with Neil finishing in second 12.44 secs behind Tony and Marc in third 20.13 sec down, Neil running a new Trinity Drake engine his MBX5R. Round 2 again saw Tony step up the ante taking the FTD for the event with 14 laps in 8m37.437 and also setting the fastest lap at 33.382 secs, taking almost 0.2 sec off the fastest lap set by Neil Ingram last event. Tony and Neil the only 2 drivers to put down 14 lap races so far this season, with Neil still holding the fastest FTD at 14 laps in 8m26.083 secs. Round 3 saw the circuit really coming on with a nice race line developing, still very heavy off the line, it made for a freight train race with Tony Knauth out in front , Marc Christianson, Neil Ingram, Gary Bui, and Gavin Newman all right on it to finish in that order with only 14.73 secs seconds seperating them. Round 4 ran in the oposite direction and was an awesome battle between Marc Christianson and Tony Knauth, it seemed like the 2 cars were stuck together with the lead changing nearly every corner, with neither of the drivers able to get away. With under a second seperating them crossing the finish line it the Losi of Marcs taking the win, Tony Knauth second and Tim Nicol MBX5R - OS in third. The final Round of the night was taken out by Xray driver Gary Bui, who after battling with Tony for 10 laps pressured him into a mistake in the difficult tight off camber section, letting Gary take an easy win ahead of Marc Christianson a lap down in second and Tony Knauth in third.

Congratulations to
Tony Knauth - HN X1CR - RB WS7III L2G - Proline - 8 points
Marc Christianson - Losi 8 - OS V Spec - Panther - 10 points
Gary Bui - Xray XB8EC - Maxpower - Proline - 21 points

Jorge Augusto, also with a X1X-CR, landed in the 5th position. After a flame out, he ended up in 6th. It was an amazing record for a young boy who race in the Nationals for the first year.

Congratulations to HN team drivers!

(2008.03.03) X1-CR dominated the MMORRC buggy championship 2008/3/3 AM 08:37:48
Saturday March 1st, 2008

Omar Xuereb who started his hobby a year ago for having some fun is taking some races seriously. Last saturday he took another win at the 4th round of the MMORRC championship and he was leading the race with 400 points. He also set the best laps and have already won 3 races out of 4 with his X1-CR PRO/STS B21. The X1-CR PRO he drives is from the first batch of X1-CRs which shows that it still performances a dominating strength. Cite from Omar Xuereb: "The car is very smooth to drive and ever since I owned it I had no damages at all and finished all the races flawlessly!!"

Congratulations to Omar!

(2008.02.19) Portugese National Open result! 2008/2/19 AM 08:52:18

This past weekend was the first important race in Portugal, the National Official Open held in Vizela, north of Portugal.

All the top drivers from Portugal were at the race with a total of almost 80 drivers. The race conditions were great, only with a few drops of rain in the main final.

In qualifying, HN Team driver Rodrigo managed to qualify 2nd in the 3 overall qualifying sessions with a TQ in the second one. The 1st place in overall qualifying was taken by Kyosho driver Miguel Matias.

"In the 45 min. Main final, it was one of the best finals i ever had… All the 45min. was inappropriate for heart beating, with a hard and beautifull fight for 1st place with Miguel Matias," says Rodrigo who managed to finish in 2nd place overall, just 10 seconds behind Matias.

Another X1-CR driver Jorge Augusto, a new young and talented driver, also finished in 5th overall.

(2008.02.07) The "Bergseng Boys" 2008/2/18 AM 01:14:31

We caught wind of a story about the Bergseng family racing their Hong Nor/Jammin CRT.5 mini truggies together in South Carolina and it hit us that our goal for the CRT.5 was paying off.

Dad, Scott Bergseng, known throughout the Carolinas as "Biggen" has been racing R/C since he was 13. This past Christmas, all the boys received HN/Jammin CRT.5 mini truggies and have been racing together ever since. The boys (Biggen, Nick-13, the wins Joey & Grady-8) regularly race at "The Grove Racing Center" in Rockhill, South Carolina.

With all the boys on the track at the same time, guess who the pit crew is? Ya, that would be Mom, Annie. She took the time to send Jammin team this note - "My crew is known as "The Bergseng Boys." Since the truggies have come in, a new class was created for those who race them. Right now the class is 5 strong, with 4 being mine and the 5th being their best bud Tyler. It is the most fun class of the racing day (although the turnmarshalls do gt their exercise.) I am the official pit man for my 4 guys. I can gas them and turn wrenches or screwdrivers on them, whichever is necessary. Scott has already taught them how to take the CRT.5 apart for an expert cleaning job. It is a real joy hanging out with our kids every Saturday. We took forward to summertime racing which ususally allows us 3 days of racing per week. Thanks for such a great products and for showing an interest in my GREAT family. BTW, a super big thanks goes out to Mare at Performance RC for making the fun possible."

Our goal with the HN/Jammin CRT.5 was to produce an entry level R/C that would also appeal to the seasoned racer and that anyone can take it out and race it or just go have fun with it. We wanted it to be able to race on indoor tracks or do stunts in backyard playgrounds. Here's living proof that our goal was accomplished. Thanks to the Bergseng Family!!

(2008.02.03) X2-CRT Prototype gets another WIN! 2008/2/18 AM 12:57:46
Gary Guest takes the X2-CRT truggy prototype show on the road to compete in the R/C Pro Northwest Series Round 1 in Lewiston, Idaho and brings home a perfect score. Top qualifier and first place in the "A" final. With the Futaba radio in Gary's hands, the X2-CRT was riding on Proline tires and powered by a Jammin JPX.21 drinking Werks fuel. Gary has been very pleased with his new truck. "The X2-CRT delivers a clear advantage over the competition and I received a flawless performance from my JPX.21 engine!" says Gary.

(2008.01.20) The X2-CRT Prototype shows its speed! 2008/2/18 AM 12:51:39

Chad Bradley used the Airland Hobbies Winternationals at Revelation Raceway to do some testing on his prototype Hong Nor/Jammin X2-CRT truggy. The result was a flawless A Main win in the Expert Truggy class by a three lap margin. The new X2-CRT truggy is in the final development stages and production is underway at the factory. The release is slated for April. "The original X1-CRT has been the industry standard in the truggy class from the time of its release and with the next generation X2-CRT truggy, we wanted to make it perfect when it finally gets to the public. We're going through this thing with a fine tooth comb to work out any kinks and make it the fastest, most durable truggy ever," says Chad Bradley from Team Jammin.

We'd like to congratulate RJ Dewitt for taking the Novice Buggy win with his Hong Nor/Jammin X1X-CR buggy!

The weight distribution (front to rear) is different between the X1 and

keep the same colour springs on the front and rear that work the best

2007 NEW ZEALAND GAS OFF ROAD NATIONALS - HONG NOR TQ'S AND PLACES 1ST AND 2ND. TRUGGY /BUGGY    2008/1/3 AM 12:22:41
At the recently held 2007 New Zealand Gas Off-Road Nationals, Frankton Model Shop/Hong Nor driver, Peter Brimmer again demonstrated the reliability of Hong Nor's X1CR and X1CRT as he raced back to back A Finals, only getting off the drivers stand to change cars.  Peter TQ'd the Truggy qualifying and was the ONLY driver to put down 10 laps in the five minute qualifying heats!  This set the bar, for a blistering final with Peter leading from the start to finish with his Hong Nor X1CRT,crossing the line two laps ahead of the nearest competitor.  From here, Peter switched weapons to his X1CR to do battle in 1:8 Buggy and from race start, some of the slower drivers found themselves being hunted, as Peter caught and passed them one by one moving through the traffic to claim 2nd place in the Buggy A Final,.......a truly remarkable effort from a champion driver.

(2007.11.25) X1-CRT won the KMRCA Chanpionship ! 2007/12/14 AM 04:18:09

(2007.12.12) X1X-CR's win at the Trofa Cup in Portugal! 2007/12/12 AM 03:06:27

Trofa Cup, the last race of the year in Portugal, was held last weekend. There were total 46 entries, and 9 of the drivers were from Spain. Top Portuguese drivers also attended the race, only Miguel Matias was missing.

Hong Nor team driver Rodrigo Luis driving X1X-CR managed to get TQ in all the 3 qualifying sessions. The good lap times were arround 28 seconds but according to Luis: "Hong Nor X1X-CR was very fast and it allowed me to run in 27second lap times. The car was just amazing all Sunday!"

"In the main final, I started with the leading position and managed to pull away from the others, but I crashed in a jump, the marshall didn´t see my car, I loose almost one lap and I dropped to 6th place, but in the first pit stop for refueling when I had recovered to 3rd, my engine flammed out and I lost more than one lap. I then restarted in 7th place and I managed to recover, finishing in 3rd place after 30 minutes of the main final!"

Luis believes that he can definitely win the first place with his X1X-CR next time!

(2007.12.07) X1 wins the South Australian state title! 2007/12/7 AM 02:56:18
Once again Hong Nor team driver Martin Wolhuter produces a brilliant win at the South Australia Championships. Not only did Martin win he also got the TQ. Martin Driving the Australian Team version X1CR also got TQ at the Queensland Titles and the ACT Titles. With so much emphasis being placed on a new car coming drivers seem to forget that the X1 is still one of the best handling cars out there today. There is an old adage out there that says (if it aint broke dont try to fix it.) The Hong Nor X1CR and CRT will always be a dominant force in the world arena with many drivers having experienced some of the newer cheaper end cars on the market and finding them lacking for whatever reason and returning to the X1. The Australian Team X1 includes most of the great options Hong Nor have to offer including the fantastically smooth 16mm shocks coupled with the offset brake cams on the alloy center diff mount.

(2007.11.11) Pro Drivers Beware!! 2007/12/5 AM 03:22:58

HN/ Jammin buggies and truggies sweep the Sportsman Classes at the 2007 Sidewinder Nitro Explosionheld at Thunder Alley R/C Raceway in Beaumont, CA. With 193 entries, the two stars to step up in the sportsman ranks during the event were Anthony Howarth (left) and Mike Davis (right). Mike piloted both his HN/ Jammin X1X-Truggy and X1X-Buggy to the top qualifying positions for the A Finals. Mike went on to win the Final by 2 laps! Anthony took the win driving his HN/ Jammin X1X-Buggy in the A Final of the Buggy Class with Mike getting second.

More testimony and thanks from a HN/ Jammin owner: "I am constantly going faster with the products, and continue to practice and test at my track at my house as much as possible. My cars were very dependable through out the whole Saturday Series. I finished third overall in Expert Buggy. Other than one bad round, I had one win with a second or third at every race. Again, thanks for the effort in making the products so easy ot drive and believe in." - Mike Davis

(2007.11.11) Privateer wins again!! 2007/12/5 AM 03:15:32

It seems as though you have to have a Hong Nor/Jammin X1 Buggy or Truggy to get to the top of the Non-Sponsored ranks. Brandon Cutchins did it last year and now Jeremy Cathlina takes the R/C Pro National Title in the Intermediate Buggy Class.

Jeremy sent the Hong Nor/ Jammin Team a thank you note. We think it speaks for itself: "I just wanted to say thanks for making such a great buggy. I purchased my HN/Jammin Buggy at the beginning of 07, and according to my radio, I have put over 63 hrs on this buggy. Since I have owned it I have not broken one single part. I have replaced a couple of outdrives and universals due to wear, maintained the diffs and shocks with seals and fluids but I have never been disappointed in any way. The cars setup is so universal from track to track. It is so easy to drive fast, planted and in control for all drivers. 2007 was my second year of racing and I was able to win the 1/8 Intermediate RC Pro National Championship against 479 competitors with my HN/Jammin Buggy!"

2007 Hong Nor Cup was amazing! 2007/12/4 AM 12:22:17

Hong Nor Cup was held on Dec. 1st & 2nd, 2007 at FeiTeng track in GuangZhou, China. This is the second year Hong Nor hold an exclusive race for HN drivers. With over 60 participants signed up for the race, the weekend was full of exciting competitions and lots of fun moments!

Hong Nor would like to thank all the participants for their support and for making the race possible. It was a great opportunity to get together with people from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. We hope next year we could see you all again at a bigger scale of HN Cup!

Don't miss out the complete review of X1-CR-FTE 2007! 2007/11/28 AM 09:39:35

HN driver Jacco Koch has been driving X1-CR-FTE for three years. He has also published some reviews about his all-time-favorite car.

Here's an abstract of Jacco's review:

It was great to see how my team mates picked up my X1 and drove it as it was there own.
We changed the battery and air filter during a pit stop, and finished the race at 4th place which I think was a very good result if you keep in mind that we lost a lot of time due to the problems.
When the race was done my car felled very smooth and the engine ran like it was just started.
So well done X1  "Team Amsterdam"

This race report brings me to another item which could be useful for any of you.
Sometimes we test new products which are supplied by the manufacturer.
In the beginning of our race season I got a tube of
Eureka Pro lube this lube was especially developed for RC cars and can be used at all rotating parts like gears, joints and universals.

There is no need to say that the Hong Nor is a good car this has been proven enough during the 3 year I drive this car.
This year only my engine gave troubles so I am thinking of getting back to my good old WS7 III engines and see if next year I can do better and become National Brother-Cup champion again.

I hope that the new in development 2008 car has some changes that I have proposed.

X1-CR won the Top Dog Dash For Cash!! 2007/11/26 AM 03:45:32

What started out to be a social Nitro Buggy event with a small $50.00 pay for the win in the A Final thanks to Laurie of Top Dog Hot Dogs, soon became a full blown competition as soon as wheels touched the dirt. Not only did the competition hot up early in the night but so did the prize money, with Tony Knauth of OCR Pitshop adding $50.00 to the prize pool in round 1.

The first of the qualifying rounds saw Tam Bui Xray - Nova Rossi take the win 2.5 seconds ahead of Tony Knauth HN X1CR - RB, with Nathan Tampe - Hyper 8 - Nosram in third one lap down. In round 2 again the prize money pool grew with Tony's wife, Rhonda Knauth adding another $50.00 to the kitty, now with $150.00 up for grabs we were certainly going to be assured of some awesome Nitro Buggy action, and no one was disappointed with the quality of racing in round 2, with Neil Ingram MBX5R - RB taking the win 1.39 secs ahead of Tam Bui and Marc Christianson Losi 8 - OS 11.96 secs behind in third, with Tony and Nathan battling it out for fourth and fifth place. Overall qualifying positions sees Tam Bui as TQ so far. Round 3 saw another jump in the prize pool with Steve Hodges of Darwin Auto Electrics adding another $50.00, making a sizeable prize money pool of $200.00. Round 3 had Tony get out to a sizeable lead early on to take the win ahead of Neil and Marc, Tony taking FTD and the fastest lap with a 34.021 secs, giving him the overall lead in qualifying but with Tam and Tony on equal points at the front with only 24 seconds seperating them after nearly half an hour of competion, the TQ spot was still anybodies. Round four saw Neil Ingram take the win ahead of Tam, Bui, with Tony in third, who was out in front for most of the race only to run out of fuel 20 seconds from the end, handing the TQ spot for the 10 car A Final to Tam Bui.

With the Top Ten group always very competitive, not only get into but to stay in, these smaller events allow for newer drivers that have not yet made it into the Top Ten pack, to get in and gain experience from racing against the fast guys. The A Final got off to a blistering start with Marc Christianson and Tony Knauth out to an early lead with Marc holding off Tony until lap eight, making a mistake coming on to the front straight, letting Tony through to the front, with Neil Ingram, Tam Bui and Marc Christianson battling it out together, let Tony get a sizeable gap leading up to the fuel stop and with a super fast pitstop from pit man Skip Jackson was able to put a lap on the field.

With a nice clean run to the finish it was Tony Knauth HN X1CR - RB on 24 laps taking the win and $125.00 ahead of Neil Ingram - MBX5R - RB in second on 23 laps ($50.00) and Tam Bui Xray - Nova Rossi in third on 22 laps ($25.00). With Laurie from Top Dog Hot Dogs presenting the first place prize and vowing to put in cash again for the next event, and Tony donating his win back to the prize pool, it seems we will again be racing for cash again at OCR Raceway in the TOP DOG DASH FOR CASH - Stage II - 7th December 2008

X1-CR cars win at the "Test of Endurance" 2007/11/15 AM 12:05:21

The Nitro Pit in Arizona promoted the 2007 Ironman 120 earlier this summer. The two hour endurance race used a 2 person Pro and Amateur driver team format. The event featured two separate races, a 2 hour/ 2 man pro/am buggy race and a 2 hou4/ 2 man pro/am truggy race. Mother nature dealt out the raiin for the first hour of the event but that didn't stop these racers, making it a true Ironman competition. Over 50 racers battled it out for over 2 hours each but only the toughest came out on top. Congratulations to all the winning teams!

Ross Denny & Will Clowser finished 2nd in the Truggy Class with their X1-CRT. The team Josh Nelson & Kelly Lugo took the win in the Buggy Class driving a Hong Nor/ Jammin X1-CR-FTE with Ross Denny & Tim Stefaniak driving another Hong Nor/ Jammin X1-CR-FTE to a 4th place finish.

Don't be the last one to get a X1X ! 2007/11/14 AM 01:33:15

Yes the rumors are flying, but no, the X2 is not reay to kick off yet.

R/C pro Jammin posted on its website our new upgraded version of X1 series. It's not the brand new car that many of you are waiting for, but it's a much better deal for you to have a little fun before the real X2 is available.

The X1X series all carry the same part numbers and have the same pricing as the X1 cars. The noticeable difference is that all X1X kits include new 16mm big bore shocks and springs. Also, the X1X-FTE is fitted with a new spiral gear.

(2007.11.11) The X1-CRT owns 5 of 6 National Titles!! 2007/11/14 AM 01:02:26

Thanks to Taylor James, the Hong Nor/Jammin X1-CRT now owns five National Championships (2 ROAR & 3 R/C Pro) of the six available since this revolutionary truggy hit the market. Taylor contributed to this impressive record this past weekend by winning the R/C Pro Expert Arena Truck title in Texas. Taylor only competed in two of the three series races so he had to win the finals to take home the R/C Pro National Championship. This win gives him back to back R/C Pro titles as he was the defending champ.

Congratulations Taylor!!

After a rain delayed qualifying, Hong Nor/Jammin Team driver Taylor James TQ's the last two rounds winning the over-all Taylor James TQ title! During the A-Main, Taylor lost a rear shock spring retainer, which was not discovered until after the main.  Because of the problem, the car was not up to the challenge to compete at this high racing level. Taylor did a great job and finished seventh. We believe Taylor could have done better if the shock spring retainer did not break. Hong Nor would like to thank all JAMMIN team racers for their efforts and great performance.

(2007.10.07) X1-CRT won the MaxBashing Seaon Finale 2007/10/15 AM 03:55:10

The final round of the 2007 MaxBashing Championship took place on Sunday the 7th October and with over 230 racers during the year, the competition has been tough. Truggies have been the dominant class at the track once again this year and the overall championship had come down to a two horse race with only one point separating Richard Ford driving a Hong Nor CRT and Simon Freeman running a Losi eight-T as they entered into this last race.

With Richard taking TQ, Simon had a lot of work to do but both were out done by Mark Hamlin as he did the double winning the Buggy and Truggy class on the day. But with Simon busting a shock in the first few laps and Richard coming home in second place, it meant he’d done enough to take the overall win and grab himself a brand new Hong Nor CRT which was donated by class sponsored Spire Model Distribution. Simon still claimed second place overall winning a new Go 21 engine and Jammin pipe and with Mark’s win on the day, he sneakily picked up third place overall.

2 Simon Freeman Losi 8T RB
3 Mark Hamlin HN X1-CRT OS

(2007.10.12) X1-CR wins 2nd place at Portugal National Cup 2007/10/12 AM 04:54:38

Hong Nor's top driver Rodrigo Luis has won the 2nd place at Portugese National Cup. Over 70 drivers at the race, Rodrigo still managed to place 6th in the qualify when he had troubles with the radio and only ran for 2 laps in the qualify.

In the semi, Rodrigo was taking the lead with his X1-CR and 16mm big bore shocks. According to him, "the new shocks are amazing and the car was flying over the bumps! X1-CR performs much better with the new shocks than with the good old ones." Rodrigo managed to ramain at the 2nd place after his tires unglued 10 minutes before the final ended.

Hong Nor would like to thank all the efforts and support from our Portugese team and its drivers!
